Friendsgiving and apple pie!

Fall is my favorite time of year! The colors, the smells, the food, the clothes, everybody seems to be more giving, and the holidays!

Our first celebration of the season was our Friendsgiving with most of our closest friends! Cody and Lisa were nice enough to host us all and it was a blast!

I somehow only took a few pictures-

Spurs plotting with the kids- something about hiding pies :)

Jason, Thomas and Whitney

I brought the Pioneer Woman's Mac and Cheese and it was a hit like always!

I also brought a apple pie and tried my luck making it with a cinnamon roll crust- very easy and delicious! I just picked my favorite apple pie recipe for the filling and bought the premade crust... I know, I know, its the easy route, but its a busy time of the year!!

I rolled out one of the crusts melted about 2tbs of butter, basted it over the crust and sprinkled the cinnamon all over.

I then rolled it up, wrapped it back up and let it sit in the fridge for awhile.

After it was firm, I cut it up and placed it in a pie dish.

I filled it about 3/4 full and pressed down on the little rolls forming the side crust and sealing all gaps.

I sprinkled a little more cinnamon over the top ;)

Fill it with your favorite apple pie filling.

I then topped it with little stars.

I brushed it with an egg and cinnamon sugar mixture

Sprinkled more cinnamon sugar on the top

Covered the edges and tossed it in the oven!

The finished product!

Spurs with his slice!

Whitney's Kitchen Bridal Shower!

My Pumpkin is getting married in 5 days!!! So i thought I would share her bridal shower. I love this girl and was so excited to help throw her the perfect shower. She loves cooking so we decided go with a kitchen theme. I love how everything turned out.

all the printables were from

The tables

A few close ups- Flowers were purchased at the local Farmers Market

Mini Rolling Pins from Hobby Lobby

All of us bridesmaids brought over our kitchen aids to fill up with a flower arrangement- love how they turned out!

The gazebo ended up being the perfect place for the gifts

The beverage table

We did a different take on the don't say "Blank" game. instead of using the usual safety pin or boring object, we used cute bangle bracelets that I got at Forever 21
Lisa and Whitney whipped up these adorable favors

Close up on the chicken rub

I cant believe we are now less than a month away from the wedding!
~Sign was made with a black foam poster board from the dollar tree and chalk markers

Got Wreaths

Since fall is upon us I was inspired to jaz up my front door a bit with a new fall wreath. I saw a burlap bubble wreath on Pinterest 3 years ago when the wonderful world of Pinterest sucked me in lol. I was to intimidated to try making a wreath myself. It looked way to complex. A few weeks ago I purchased all my supplies and gave it my best try.

I was very impressed so I posted a picture a picture of my hard work on my Facebook.... And everybody loved it. They all wanted one of their own. At that time I told them no. Aparently I found the hard way to make them, with the tutorial I followed a wreath took 1hr and 45min just to do the burlap.

My grandma wanted one and I just couldn't say no to her so I went searching for an easier way... And I found it! I will add my own tutorial soon. I kind of went crazy after that. Here are a few of my creations.

My cousin Tara's San Francisco Giants Baseball wreath- complete with some of the years they won the World Series and the names of everybody in her house- including her dogs.

I ended up adding a "do not disturb" sign to this one for my two cousins who work graveyard shift. I forgot to get the finall picture :(

Sorry some if the pictures don't hane the best quality.

Love this one

This is everybody fav! I love how it turned out.

I love the color pop :)

This is another favorite. But I couldn't get any more of these signs.

Construction theme wreath for my favorite little guys 3rd bday :)

What my arm rests on my couch has been looking like lately. Lol

Some of the signs I have been collecting these past few weeks for my wreaths.

I'm hoping I don't get burned out on all this wreath making cause so far I'm loving it! I can't wait all the other holidays now :)
